Scikit-learn is a free machine learning library for python programming. It was developed by David Cournapeau. It is build on NumPy, SciPy and matplotlib. It is used for classification, regression, clustering, Dimensionality reduction, model selection and preprocessing. Spotify, Evernote, Yhat, DataRobot, solido and Zopa is using this library. Some of its core algorithms are written in cython. Implementation of support vector machine, logistic regression are achieved using cython wrapper. It is a simple library to perform machine learning in python. Since many companies, ranging from startups to established industrial players are currently prototyping with scikit-learn, and some contractors are willing to fund its development, there are prospects to create an entity that could accept and manage donations as done by the Wikipedia Foundation.
